There is a will documented at http://www.mumma.org/archives/index.html for John Bigler Moomaw. His wife on the will is "Elinor" and he has children. It was posted in West Virginia which is probably where he died. He owned 154 acres of land. The daughters, Mary and Louisa inherited the land. The will was posted 18-Jan-1894 and appointed John's son Caswell C. as the executor.

According to http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvraleig/Footprints/p25.htm, John B. Moomaw was Postmaster in Round Glades, West Virginia from 1855-1857, and according to http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvraleig/Footprints/p27.htm, he was Postmaster in Sink, West Virginia from 1882-1887 and in Round Glades in 1874.

There is a Moomaw Lake in Bath County, Virginia.
