"Private services for Calvin Bruce McDonald of Nevada City will be conducted.

Mr. McDonald died Monday, May 16, in Nevada City. He was 88.

He was born July 14, 1916, in Weed, to Calvin McDonald and Alice Revell. He married Helen on Nov. 4, 1990. He was an electrical contractor. He enjoyed walking in the forest, travel and reading.

He is survived by his wife, Helen J. McDonald; son, C. Bruce McDonald Jr. of Grass Valley; daughter, Linda Alice DuMoulin of Tacoma, Wash.; daughter-in-law, Jodi McDonald of Grass Valley; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leontine McDonald; and daughter, Phronda Smith.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary."
