"At a Town Council held at the dweling of Mr. Christopher Spencer late of North Kingstown late deceased March 4th. The ... Taylor appointed (clerk?) " A vote was listed enumerating William Reynolds, Benjamin Farmer, Thomas Clark, Stephen Congdon, and James Reynolds. "This day
Christopher Spencer's will was read, approved of."
Earlier (p. 129) there was a will. The document was burned in a fire in 1790 so not all of it is readable. Relationships listed in the will include son John Spencer. wife's sister Ruth Hall, Grandson (N?) Spencer, son of John. Granddaughter Abigail Spencer, daughter of John. Grandson George Spencer, son of John. Granddaughter Frances - daughter of Slocum Hall. Two grandsons were also listed, Nicholas and Christopher but the name of the parent was burned out. Grandson George may be the "George of Petersburgh late of said Christopher Spencer of Kingsbury, County Washington".
