Notes:
("Susanna Spencer-Briggs", Box 5, Folder 4, Violet E Kettelle Genelaogical Collection CS69.K48 2002, April 2002): names the specific death day for Richard Briggs (29-Mar-1733). In Richard Briggs' will, da. 3-29-1733, he left to his wife Experience (2nd wife), 20 pounds in lieu of her thirds. He names his sons Richard, Francis, John, Caleb, Philip, and Daniel and other daughters Mary and Adra (Audra) Briggs, Ann King and Sarah Aylesworth. He lists grandsons Richard Briggs, Caleb Tarbox, Richard Matteson and witnesses Thomas SPencer, Jedediah Jenskins, and John Jenkins. -- Their cemetery is located near Edna Sherman Robinson on West Side of Tillinghast Road.

According to a note in the Spencer file at the North Kingstown Free Library: John Spencer was the justice during the marriage of Susannah Spencer and Richard Briggs. The author put the marriage date at September 23, 1700 instead of December 23.
