Notes:

From "Representative Men and old Families of Rhode Island" vol. 3, p. 1570 -- Robert Spencer removed to North Kingstown and then to Exeter. Only he and William relocated to North Kingstown.

According to Savage's genealogical dictionary, Roger moved to Charlstown in 1653, was a mariner until 1699. His daughter Mary married John Hull of Boston and then Sir William Phips who was made governor of Massachusetts. Lastly she married Hon. Peter Sargent. A note in the Spencer file of the North Kingstown Free Library lists Theodosia as with the surname WAITE. The justice is listed as Jeffrey Champlin.

(13) Samuel SPENCER:

Notes:
This could be the Samuel Spencer referred to in pgs 44-45 of the "Exeter Land Evidence". He was a West Greenwich yeoman and paid 2500-pounds to Peleg BRIGGS of North Kingstown for 31 acres of land, part in Exeter and part in East Greenwich. This bordered the property of Thomas RATHBUN, and Peleg BRIGGS.
