Jackson and Florence HART moved their family from Kansas to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1908.

From Gary's Genealogy: "As noted earlier, Jackson was born on October 26, 1855 at Savanah, MO. In 1916 when Nancy Hart married John Daud, Jackson stood up at her wedding. He died at his home 13 S. Limit ST in Colorado Springs, CO on August 9, 1925, but was buried in the Reserve (Kansas) Cemetary. Grandma accompanied his body back to Kansas and recorded the trip in her diary. In the pages of the Hart family Bible she simply put 'Rest in Peace, Dad. Nancy.'"

From Gary's Genealogy: "Florence and Jackson were married on February 17, 1886 at Podonia, KS. This little town is not even on the map any longer. The Groom was 31 and the bride was 32. Their home was blessed with seven children. The Harts moved their children to Colorado Springs, CO in 1908 because of the more favorable climate. It has also been stated that it is possible that farm hands gave the family contageous diseases. Grandma was 21 when they moved."
