Notes:
William and Viola were married 14-Sept-1878 according to Viola's obit. They moved to Mondovi, Buffalo County, Wisconsin in the summer of 1879 where most of their 10 children were born.

The 1900 Census has him living in Dewey, Chippewa County, Wisconsin with Viola, and kids Alice, Myrtle, Clifford, Ethel, and Archie. It is possible that son Allen Luther during the time of the 1900 census is the Allen Luther living with the Melrose family in Albay, Pepin County, Wisconsin. Interesting that his mother is listed as from Germany on this census. On other censuses, his mother is listed as from New York.

The 1910 Census has him living in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.

When William Malrose Spencer left Ladysmith, WI, Bert Dunahee (son-in-law, husband of
Alice Viola Spencer) posted a flier:

"Auction on the Wm. Spencer Farm, Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1 O'Clock PM. Two sets of
Household Goods and Furniture, Hay, one Cow, Cultivators and Plows, one Wagon,
Wood, and Small Articles of Every Description. Be sure to attend this sale for Bargains.
--Bert Dunahee" -- This would have been after 1010 -- probably 1914

At the end of his life, lived on South Washington ST in Twin Falls, Idaho next to his son Archie. He had worked on highway construction.

Notes:
Myrtle Belle Spencer-Winters death certificate places Viola's place of birth in Iowa. But her obituary has her as having been born in Wisconsin. Here is Viola's obituary, published in the Milwaukee Sentinel, November 15, 1923:

"Mrs. William Spencer. Viola Emma Fuller was born at Durand, Pepin County, Wis., Aug. 12, 1859. She was the only child born to Mr. and Mrs. Ruben and Rhoda Fuller. She was married Sept. 14, 1878 to William M. Spencer at Bell Plain, Iowa and with her husband emigrated to Mondovi, Buffalo Co., in the summer of 1879. To this union were born ten children, two of whom died in infancy and one at the age of 16 years. Those who survive are: Miss Bertha Spencer of Eau Claire; Mrs. Burt Dunahee of Twin Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Alvin Winters of Ladysmith, Wis.; Mrs. George Fellon of Twin Falls, Idaho; Allen L. Spencer of Superior, Wis.; Clifford H. Spencedr fo Rushville, Neb., and Archie L. Spencer of Tomahawk, Wis., besides eleven grandchildren. Mrs. Spencder with her husband came to the town of Drammen, Eau Claire county in the fall of 1885 where they lived for many years, and in later years moved to Ladysmith, Wis., where they resided up to about fourteen years ago since which time they have lived mostly in the west. Mr. Spencer passed away March 20, 1922 at Isabella, Miss., and since his death Mrs. Spencer's health has gradually failed until Oct. 14, 1923 when she also passed away very suddenly, death was due to hemorrhage of the lungs at the age of 64 years, two months and two days. Funeral services were held at Lenmark's parlors Oct. 17, Rev Raue of the First Presbyterian church officiated. Interment was made in Lakeview cemetary at Eau Claire.
