Allen Luther SPENCER
Updated: 15-Nov-2005 Allen SPENCER was my great-grandfather, son of William Malrose SPENCER I and father of 4 children including my Grandmother, Laura SPENCER. He was born in Iowa and mostly lived in Wisconsin and Minnesota, although at various times lived in other locations such as in Ranger, Texas. He married first to Edna STANTON who later married Charles KEIFFER. They had one child, Norman SPENCER (b. 25-May-1906 in Ladysmith, WI, d. 26-Oct-1977 in Richmod, Virginia). His second marriage was to my great grandmother, Anna Louise SCHUMACHER (b. 3-Aug-1887 in Lake City, MN, d. 11-Jul-1956 in Superior, WI), daughter of Carl and Albertina SCHUMACHER. Their marriage was 16-Jan-1912 at the German Lutheran Church in Casey Towship, Ransom County, ND, after which they lived in International Falls, Minnesota (the city where my grandmother Laura Marie SPENCER was born, 3-Aug-1912).
Allen was born 16-Aug-1879 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was living in Ladysmith, Wisconsin when he married Edna STANTON, and was finally living in Superior, Wisconsin when he died 19-Oct-1951.
